Mike Trapp

Mike Trapp is a writer, actor, and comedian most recognizable for the hundreds of videos and articles he wrote for CollegeHumor from 2011 - 2020. While there, he served as Head Article Editor, Cast Member, Head Writer of CH Originals, and VP of Creative for Dropout. He created and wrote some of the most popular shows on the platform including WTF 101, Um Actually, Ultramechatron Team Go!, and Breaking News. He was also head writer for the not-quite-as- popular Troopers: Rise of the Budget, which had as many as several fans. SEVERAL!

Outside the Internet, you may have seen him on Adam Ruins Everything in such thrilling, wide-ranging roles as “Car-Driving Man,” “Drunk Man,” and, most memorably, “Syphilitic Man.” Trapp has completed the sketch and improv programs at the UCB Theater in New York and went on to teach sketch at the theater and write for UCB house sketch team, Stone Cold Fox.

He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he got his first taste of Internet fame when a video he created called “Drinkin’ Time” went viral, thus putting him on a path of sophomoric humor for years to come.

Trapp grew up a Coast Guard brat and subsequently moved every three years of his life until he was 18. He lived all over the United States, and in Korea. His military upbringing has also made him an incurable workaholic. His first job at 12 was providing the voice of “Young Boy” on tapes to teach English to Korean speakers. He has no idea where these tapes are, but wishes he did. Other jobs include paperboy, library page, Brookstone sales associate, glassware washer for a water-testing lab, box office attendant, and executive assistant at BMI. The worst job was Brookstone.
